Reflections

Forest Lake is a beautiful location and we had a lot of fun by the water. Taylar and her sibblings bought their mum a "gift voucher" for her birthday. What an awesome present. Justine just loves photo's and was in "tears of joy" when she saw them. Like all families time can slip away and the kids are adults before you know it.

Sleepy head

Well this shoot was hilarious. I just setup and Tabitha decided it was nap-time. I waited a while over a coffee and the phone woke her up (she was not really happy). I did get some great shots and one thing for sure she is the "apple" of her daddy's (and mummy's) eye.

Another Newborn Club member

Jacinta and Brendan were ecstatic with the arrival of little Gabriel, a gorgeous little boy. I went to their home and photographed them and got some great shots for them to choose from. We got the e-arrival notices out really quickly (details withheld), but it has all of the birth information on them.

Back to my stomping ground

I do heaps of beach shoots in the Redlands and whilst there are always a lot of people around, I always try to avoid people in the background. The family bought Carol a gift voucher as a present and they were a heap of fun on the day which was just glorious weather.

Bouncing Baby Girl

Mum and dad came to me for the pregnancy shoot and when little Gabrielle was born, I drove up to Bracken Ridge and did an in-home photo shoot saving precious time for the family. As members of the Newborn Club they will have another shoot soon to complete the first year of Gabrielle's changing features.

And baby makes 5.

It is not often I do a newborn shoot on the beach but that is what Angie booked. We got some really beautiful family images and some great shots of the kids too.

Something funny?

This family of 4 were awesome, two littlies and a little bit of red cordial??? Alex was a live-wire which I love when I photograph children. We certainly got smiles. His little brother was enjoying the action and also very cute.

Christening

Christenings and baby namings are a wonderful celebration and opportunity to be photographed with the whole family. Heather and Chris decided on a private portrait session with the grandparents and family in their own home before the church ceremony.

Sarah and Mark

A new town, job and beginning inspired me to do an awesome sunset shot. Sarah loved it! Everyone enjoyed the beach and Jess just loved climbing the trees.

Where have I been

Well I am ashamed of myself. Sorry. I have been so busy I have not been able to keep my blog up to date of late. I have done plenty of portrait shoots and had a massive amount of computer problems which was very frustrating. Luckily I had the necessary back-ups and had my work saved. I also had a very dear Uncle pass away and he was a treasure. I look forward to getting back on track soon. Rhonda

Precious Leila

I arrived to photograph Leila and proud mum was patiently feeding her. The intimacy of a newborn and mum looking on is a sight that is also precious. A proud father admiring from the distance. I learned that Simon and Sharni also sponsor other children and Leila is their first. It was a lovely morning with many precious moments. .... I am keeping the best as a surprise. This is just a sneak peak. Rhonda

McCulloch Family

Perfect weather and a lovely family made for a great day shooting. The feedback from the shoot was great especially from the kids. Mum said, "the kids really enjoyed the shoot, they had fun", and that's when the parents have fun too. Obviously some shoots are harder than others. It may be the wind, the sun in the wrong spot, a moody toddler etc, but I have a great bag of tricks to help the kids enjoy the shoot, thus giving people plenty to choose from. Thanks

Henricksen Family

Congratulations to Lou and Joan for their 50th wedding anniversary and the double celebration of Joan's 80th birthday. The whole family came together for a photo shoot which was really lovely. I set up the equipment in their home while they had a lovely morning tea at Mary's and over about 2 hours photographed the whole family. This is why I love my job, it was relaxed, fun and we got a whole range of photo's so everyone can choose their individual family shots as well as plenty of group shots. Hope you had a great lunch and thanks for allowing me to capture such a fabulous family.

Field Family

A day at the beach... beautiful one day, perfect the next. I had fun trying to coax the kids with ideas to get them involved and in the process got some great shots. Thanks guys, can't wait to see you.

Hubbard Family - the handsome Tahj

Hi, back again after the Xmas rush and relax.... trying to combine the two was fun and games.
Xmas always reminds me just how important family is.... and how quickly everyone grows. I was also honored to meet the lovely Hubbard family. As always I trekked off to a beautiful Brisbane suburb and did my thing. Tahj was very obliging and cute. See you soon.
